Saint Gianna Beretta Molla (1922–1962) was an Italian pediatrician, devoted wife, and mother of four. She lived her faith through medicine, motherhood, and daily life. In 1962, she gave her life to save her unborn child, choosing to continue her pregnancy despite life-threatening complications. Canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2004, she is a modern-day witness to the Gospel of Life and the sanctity of every human person.
